Will Fiesta Metal be treated like guru?
FORD is turning up the heat in the hot hatch sector with a new Fiesta.
They are unleasing the 134PS Metal to the roads of the UK.
There will only be 1,000 Metals built and they will be priced from £15,695 on the road.
The Fiesta Metal reaches its full 134PS at 6,700rpm and maximum torque comes in at 4,250rpm. The 1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine will whip the car to 62mph in 8.7 seconds.
Marketing director at Ford of Britain, Anthony Ireson, said: “This Ford Fiesta special edition gives the customer great exterior styling with an enhanced performance engine. Customers love that we create Fiestas with special features that prove to be real head-turners.”
The popular three-door Fiesta Zetec-S forms the basis of the Metal, which comes with chrome twin exhaust pipes, silver-painted front grille surround, front aerofoil and front fog light bezels, black sports leather seats, stainless steel scuff plates on the doors, 17in black alloy wheels and sports tuning. The ride height has also been lowered.
Fitted as standard to the Fiesta Metal are electronic stability programme (ESP), Intelligent Protection System (IPS), anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), power steering, Home Safe headlights, front, side and knee airbags.
Colours for the Metal are Panther Black, Frozen White and Midnight Sky.
