Very limited edition of Peugeot 208 GTI revealed
PEUGEOT has announced a very limited edition of its new 208 GTI – and only 29 of them will sold in the UK.
There will be one car to represent each year since the launch in Britain of the original 205 GTI which went on sale in 1984.
Sold with an enhanced spec, only 54 will be sold in the whole world and in the UK each example will cost £20,495.
These special GTi’s will be individually numbered from 01 to 29, and will come with exclusive satin pearlescent white paint and 17in ‘Carbon’ Onyx Black Alloys.
Demand for this exciting and collectable model is expected to be very strong with each model getting satellite navigation and, for the first time on a Peugeot − Digital Radio (DAB). All cars will also feature a Union Jack flag on the lower grille, signifying the importance of the GTi badge to the UK.
Production of this GTi is scheduled for April 2013 and these cars will be available for hand-over to customers ahead of the 208 GTi official launch date in late May.
The announcement of this latest new model follows on closely on the heels of the launch of the new 208 range which has been an instant success for Peugeot with over 11,000 UK orders since order books opened.
