Sports Line Jeep is a powerful performer with a V6
A SPORTY high performance 4×4 with rugged off-road ability but without the large capacity petrol engines seen in outright performance versions.
That’s the latest arrival from Jeep in the shape of a new S-Limited variant of the Grand Cherokee ‘Sports Line’.
The American brand says the new S-Limited will offer all the presence of Jeep’s muscular sports styling, but without the need for huge powerplants like the 6.4-litre V8 unit in the Grand Cherokee SRT.
S-Limited does though take several styling cues from the SRT. Its interior features carbon fibre trim, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel and ventilated sports-styled Nappa leather seats while racing style pedal pads add to the sporty appeal.
And standard kit includes Quadra-Lift air suspension, Quadra-Trac II four wheel drive, cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Uconnect navigation and black gloss 20-inch alloy wheels.
You also get an 825-watt Harman-Kardon audio system with 19 speakers and three sub-woofers, power tailgate, black grille and rear light bar.
Powered by a 237bhp, 2,987cc V6 CRD diesel engine with Fiat’s MultiJet II technology, the new Grand Cherokee S-Limited will cost £44,595 when it goes on sale later this month.
