Citroen improves C5 fuel efficiency
CITROEN has reworked the 1.6HDi 110hp engine in its C5 range and it now offers improved fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions and free car tax in its first year.
These improvements affect all trim levels of the saloon and tourer that are powered by the HDi 110hp engine.
Fuel economy over the combined cycle has improved 6% to 56.5mpg, while CO2 emissions have been slashed by 10g/km, from 140g to 130g.
The changes bring these C5 models into the new VED Band D, which qualifies them for free road tax in the first year.
Company car drivers also benefit, thanks to a 1-point reduction in BIK taxation rates — down to 18%.
