Black look for new Lexus F-Sport
LEXUS has beefed up the looks of its CT 200h full hybrid model, added some top quality equipment and tweaked the handing to give more enjoyment. The result is the CT 200h F-Sport.
Even though it looks a bit sharper to the eye, the carmaker says there are no losses in the emissions, fuel consumption and running costs areas. They claim it makes it top of the tree in the premium compact car sector.
The most obvious difference at first glance is the 17in dark finished alloy wheels, combined with a bigger rear spoiler, flared skirts, mesh front grille and aero-style front and rear bumpers.
On the inside, Lexus have given the F-Sport a new steering wheel with a flat bottom section and added aluminium pedals and scuff plates.
The F-Sport also benefits from cruise control, special black leather upholstery, heated front seats, electric seat adjustment for the driver, automatically dimming doors mirrors and a rear parking camera linked up to the rear view mirror.
But if they want a little more, buyers can add an advanced navigation system with Lexus’ Remote Touch control, automatically dimming rear view mirrors, 10-speaker audio system, front and rear parking sensors and an optional sunroof.
Lexus has ensured that the F-Sport offers a sharper, more enjoyable driving experience by adding its lateral damping system and changing coil spring rates. The Japanese carmaker has also fitted Kayaba dampers to give a sportier drive. These dampers also help cut down on body vibration, adding to the driving comfort of all occupants.
Performance figures as the same as its CT 200h siblings with zero road tax qualifying emissions figures of 94g/km CO2 and 68.9mpg fuel consumption on the combined cycle. It can go for up to a mile on electric power in slow traffic conditions and in that mode, of course, has no emissions!
The new Lexus CT 200h F-Sport is available to order now, with first UK deliveries in January. On-the-road prices are from £27,850.
