Continental class, style and power
GERMAN efficiency and Italian flair come together with the first public showing of the Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition.
The 2012 flagship Diavel pays tribute to the AMG luxury sports brand and is aimed at those with a passion for technology and engineering.
The joint development was announced at the 2010 Los Angeles Motor Show and comes to fruition at this month’s Frankfurt show.
The Special Edition is based on the Diavel Carbon, and features AMG’s signature five-spoke wheels, carbon fibre radiator grilles, AMG-type sports exhaust and ribbed seat upholstered in Alcantara. The attention to performance detail also ensures that each Desmodromic cam timing is set manually and has the name of the engine technician engraved on the casing! Each bike will have a numbered plaque on the tank, too.
As with all Ducatis, the Special Edition is hand-buit, but this one comes in matte black carbon fibre bodywork with AMG’s Diamond White Bright stripe and frame colour to contrast the black heels.
There will also be an exclusive leather jacket and helmet available early next year.
