Mazda3 2.2D 150PS Fastback Sport Nav+ review, road test report

THE new Mazda3 is excellent – it’s as simple as that. I said so when I attended the launch in Scotland and I still say so now, having spent a week at the helm of the Fastback model, or saloon to you and me. The Kodo design of the new Mazda3, which means Soul of Motion, follows the lead set by the Mazda6 and CX-5, which is proving very popular with customers. The concept works well in the Mazda3 too, giving the car considerable road presence and stand-out appeal. It looks good from all angles.

Dacia Logan MCV Ambiance 0.9 TCe 90 MCV review, road test report

THE introduction of the Romanian Dacia brand is having quite an effect on the UK car market, and people are buying them as fast as the dealers can get their hands on them.
This Dacia Logan MCV Ambiance 0.9 TCe 90 estate car, (MCV standing for Maximum Capacity Vehicle) doesn’t look as modern as some of the latest models’ designs from other manufacturers, but it certainly doesn’t look bad, and comes complete with roof rails, so it’s handy for fitting a roof rack to carry luggage, bike carriers, top boxes and the like.

SEAT Leon Cupra and Cupra 280 road test review

WITH the new SEAT Leon Cupra you get two cars for the price of one. Ok, not literally, but what you do get is one car with two very different characters and you can switch between the two at the touch of a chequered flag button on the dash.
Comfortable to drive every day, or one of the best track day cars you can buy, the new Cupra is as good as it gets in the hot hatch world and is already a record breaker.

Jaguar F-Type V6 S review & road test report

IN my opinion, the E-Type Jaguar is the most beautiful car ever made and I have dreamed of owning one for years, although I admit it’s sadly a dream I am now unlikely to ever realise.
The new F-Type has been heralded as that iconic car’s spiritual successor, but whether or not you believe that to be the case, having spent the last few days driving this stunning 380bhp machine, there is no doubt in my mind that this sleek automotive modern masterpiece is worthy of such lofty comparisons.

Volkswagen Tiguan Match 2.0 TDI review & road test report

THE Volkswagen Tiguan, in its various guises, has been around since 2007, and despite its recent facelift, is beginning to show its age in my opinion, not having stood the test of time as well as the rest of the VW range.
Its chunky looks are in many ways timeless, but the front end and the car’s nose in particular, are the issue here.
The Tiguan is spacious inside and very comfortable to travel in. It’s also well kitted out for family duties, with aircraft-style fold-down trays on the back of the front seats, plenty of leg room and a decent sized boot.
