Bags of goodies for the V-Strom ABS

SUZUKI received much acclaim for its V-Strom 650 ABS earlier in the year and the Japanese bike builder has announced that it is introducing three new accessory packs to go with it — in commute, weekend away or Continental tour flavours.
If you want to add a bit more practicality to your machine, then the Tourer Pack is the one for you. Retailing at £499 with fitting and VAT, the pack adds a knuckle guard set to keep those pinkies warm in the cold and wet weather, a handy 14-litre magnetic tank bag, a protector for the tank, under cowling, accessory bar and chain guard. If you bought these accessories separately, they would set you back another £121.
For those undertaking longer journeys, the Adventure Pack — at £999 with fitting and VAT — you get all the bits from the Tourer Pack (less tank bag) and a Vario Touring Screen, which offers adjustable weather protection, a centre stand and a 42-litre top case set, saving £291 over individual purchases.
But for those wanting even more, there is the GT Pack, wich gives even greater carrying capacity. Most of the extras from the Adventure Pack are including and 70 extra litres of luggage space comes in the form of side cases. This pack comes in at £1,299 including VAT and fitting, offering a saving of £360 if bought separately.
All three packs are available from your Suzuki dealer for retro-fitting. If you purchase a pack at the same time as buying the V-Strom the accessories are subject to a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.
