Shark has sharpened up its range of helmets.
HERE’S something to get your teeth into — French-based Shark Helmets has launched its 2012 collection.
Shown to the public at the International Motorcycle Show in Milan, the highlights were a brand new helmet and new graphics on existing models.
The Speed -R is the new offering and erplaces the RSI range. The firm has spent the last 12 months developing its new look with the introduction of three new fibre helmets, the Race -R Pro, Race -R and Vision -R, while the Speed -R is a new fibre composite model designed to ensure efficient ventilation dynamics.
The rear of the helmet has a double bladed spoiler which allows air to flor above and below the blade, sucking warm air from the inside of the helmet. Another spoiler on the rear base stabilises the helmet and ensures it slips through the air smoothly. These spoilers make sure there is no turbulence inside the helmet and not head shaking at speed.
The Race -R range all offer an optically correct field of vision due to the variable thickness of the visor, which has four safety lock points and anti-scratch and anti-fog coatings.
The Speed -R will arrive at dealer’s showrooms from January and be priced at around £250.
New graphics have been added to the Race –R, Vision –R, S700, S600, Evoline and the RSJ series.
