Continental wins major summer tyre award

CONTINENTAL Tyres has won a major accolade in the 2011 Auto Express Product Awards.
The magazine has revealed the top motoring products that can add real value to your car and has rated the ContiSportContact 3 as the best summer tyre to do just that.
Tests by motoring magazines push the rubber cars use to the limit to get to grips with the best tyres for your car.
Auto Express says: “Unlike their rivals who design products to excel in certain areas, Continental has an all round approach to performance which helps it take its second win here. Top five or better finishes in all disciplines saw the ContiSportContact 3 edge the rest.”
Jonathan Hayter, product manager at Continental, said: “We are really pleased that Continental has been recognised by this leading magazine. The ContiSportContact 3 is no stranger to awards but knowing how tough the Auto Express test is, to perform consistently and come out as the best all-rounder is a real achievement.”
The tyre is available in a wide range of sizes from 16” to 22” to suit vehicles from an executive saloon to a sporty hatchback. Continental has strong relationships with vehicle manufacturers and the tyre can be found on popular brands in the market including Audi, BMW, Ford, Renault and Volkswagen.
Continental’s ContiWinterContact TS830 was also highly rated in the winter tyre category. The magazine said: “The TS830 had good results throughout and produced a great all round performance.”
