The Saint’s Volvo P1800 in miracle return from dead!

ONE of the stars of the hit 1960’s TV series The Saint, Volvo P1800 which was driven by Roger Moore, took centre stage at this year’s Footman James Classic Motor Show.

The Saint’s Volvo P1800 was the star of the Volvo Enthusiasts’ Club stand, Roger Moore’s trusty partner in The Saint, the Volvo P1800, was unveiled after a mammoth restoration.

Purchased 1997, the car commenced its restoration in 2007 and now, some five years later, thanks to sponsorship from specialist insurance broker and Classic Motor Show title sponsor Footman James, it was unveiled at the show by Malcolm Christopher, assistant producer of the 1960’s thriller series.

Owned and lovingly restored by Volvo Enthusiasts’ Club founder Kevin Price, the car will now make a number of appearances at shows and events throughout 2013, in aid of a number of charities and culminating in a proposed tour of the studios and different locations where The Saint was filmed.
