Test ride a Harley and win a dream trip on Route 66

Test ride a Harley for the chance to win a dream holiday riding Route 66.

THE famous Route 66 – the Mother Road – is a mecca for motoring fans the world over.
For bikers, no matter what machines they ride in the UK, there is surely only one weapon of choice when making this iconic journey – a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Until the end of June, for riders in the UK and Ireland dreaming of Route 66, it really does start with a test ride. As part of its annual demo campaign, Harley-Davidson UK is giving away the experience of a lifetime, riding the Mother road.
All motorcyclists, who complete a test ride at an authorised Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland dealership between now and June 30 will qualify for automatic entry into the prize draw to win the dream trip. Demo rides can be booked in advance at any authorised UK Harley-Davidson dealer, using the 24/7 online booking system at www.harley-davidson.co.uk or www.harley-davidson.ie for all ROI Harley-Davidson fans, to ensure that you get the machine of your choice on a date and time that suits you.
A wide range of motorcycles is available, to cater for all tastes, from a nimble Sportster for people who want convenient transport with looks, style and genuine American flair, to the more performance-focused V-Rods and the all-out Touring machines that look perfectly placed on scenic routes, such as Route 66. And, of course, with British summertime now upon us, there are opportunities to test ride the two new motorcycles – Sportster Seventy-Two and Softail Slim – which launched in February.
Steven Colling, Marketing Manager, Harley-Davidson UK & Ireland  said: “We started our demo campaign promotion to challenge rider perceptions about Harley-Davidson. As a result we found many new customers had never considered a Harley-Davidson until they actually took a test ride. From that point they were hooked on the quality of ride, styling and the sound that only Harley-Davidson offers.
“The campaign also offers existing customers the chance to try something new. Due to the large investment that we make in retaining the iconic look of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, there is a misconception that our bikes haven’t changed for decades. But in this case, looks are deceiving and riders are often surprised at the advanced technology of our new machines.
“This year’s incentive to give one of our bikes a try is also important in promoting what Harley-Davidson as a brand can offer. Getting on board one of our machines often helps riders to remember the fun and freedom that you can get from motorcycling – and our Authorised Tours are definitely a part of that.”
